Refund policy
Effective date: 19 June 2026
This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made by consumers through www.trettitre.nl and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
If you are acting as a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase without giving any reason within 14 days.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, acquire physical possession of the goods.
If multiple goods ordered in one order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period begins on the day on which you receive the last good.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires. You may do so:
- through the “Withdraw, cancel or return” function available through our website and customer account pages;
- by emailing info@trettitre.nl; or
- by using the model withdrawal form included at the end of this Policy.
The use of the model withdrawal form is not mandatory. It is sufficient that you send your withdrawal statement before the withdrawal period expires.
When using our online withdrawal function, you will receive an electronic confirmation of your request.
2. Effects of Withdrawal
If you validly withdraw from the entire contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered by us.
We do not reimburse any additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method that was more expensive than our standard delivery option.
We will reimburse you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
For sales of goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
3. Returning the Goods
You must return or hand over the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.
The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day return period expires.
Unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are defective or non-conforming, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Please contact us or use the online return function to obtain the applicable return instructions and return address.
You are responsible for packaging the goods appropriately. We recommend using a tracked shipping method and retaining proof of shipment.
4. Diminished Value
You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Any deduction will be proportionate and based on the actual reduction in value. We do not apply fixed restocking fees to statutory withdrawals.
Opening the packaging or reasonably examining the product does not by itself exclude your right of withdrawal.
5. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where a legal exception applies, including:
- goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised;
- sealed audio or video recordings or sealed computer software that have been unsealed after delivery; and
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and that have been unsealed after delivery.
These exceptions will be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU and Dutch consumer law.
6. Voluntary 30-Day Return Policy
In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary commercial return period of 30 days from the date of delivery.
For returns requested after the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has expired, the following additional conditions apply:
- the product must be unused, undamaged and in resalable condition;
- all original packaging, accessories and documentation must be included; and
- the return request must be submitted within 30 days after delivery.
This voluntary return policy does not affect or restrict your statutory right of withdrawal or your rights concerning defective or non-conforming goods.
7. Defective or Non-Conforming Goods
If goods are defective, damaged on arrival or do not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
You are entitled to the remedies provided by applicable EU and Dutch consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, these may include repair or replacement free of charge, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract and reimbursement.
We will bear reasonable return costs for goods that are defective or non-conforming.
