Warranty & Repair

This Warranty & Repair Policy ("Policy") applies to products sold through www.trettitre.nl and forms an integral part of our Terms of Service.
1. Statutory Legal Warranty (EU & Netherlands)
Under European Union and Dutch consumer law, you are entitled to receive products that conform to the contract.
This means that your product must:

function as reasonably expected;

correspond with the description provided at the time of purchase;

be of satisfactory quality and durability, taking into account the nature of the product and the price paid.
If a lack of conformity exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within the statutory period, you are entitled to remedies under applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy limits, excludes, or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
2. Burden of Proof
For defects that become apparent within 24 months from the date of delivery, it is presumed that the defect existed at the time of delivery, unless proven otherwise.
After this period, you may be required to demonstrate that the defect was present at the time of delivery.
3. Remedies for Non-Conforming Products
If your product is defective or does not conform to the contract, you are entitled, in accordance with EU and Dutch law, to have the product repaired or replaced free of charge.
Repair or replacement will be provided:

within a reasonable time;
-
without significant inconvenience to you;
-
free of charge, including necessary shipping, labour, and material costs.
Only where repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, or cannot be provided within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund (termination of the contract).
4. Commercial Warranty (Manufacturer / Brand Warranty)
In addition to your statutory rights, TRETTITRE provides a voluntary commercial warranty of 12 months from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.
This commercial warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use.
This commercial warranty is voluntary and does not replace, limit, or affect your statutory legal warranty or other rights under EU or Dutch law.
5. What Is Not Covered by the Commercial Warranty
The commercial warranty does not cover:

normal wear and tear;
-
cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the product;

damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, liquid ingress, fire, or external force;
-
damage caused by unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications;
-
damage resulting from use inconsistent with the user manual or the product’s intended purpose.
6. How to Request Warranty or Repair Service

Please include:

your order number or valid proof of purchase;

a clear description of the issue;

photos or videos showing the defect, where reasonably possible.
We may request that the product be returned for inspection.
7. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims
If the defect is confirmed to be covered by the statutory legal warranty or the commercial warranty:
-
we will bear the reasonable costs of return shipping, inspection, repair, and reshipment.
If, after inspection, it is established that the defect is not covered and does not constitute a lack of conformity under applicable law:
-
we will inform you in advance of any inspection, repair, or shipping costs before proceeding;
-
no costs will be charged without your prior consent.
8. Replacement Products
If a product is replaced under warranty:
-
the replacement product may be new or professionally refurbished;
-
the remaining warranty period continues from the original delivery date of the replaced product.
9. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies only to products purchased directly from www.trettitre.nl.
Products purchased second-hand or from unauthorised sellers are excluded from this Policy.
This limitation does not affect your statutory rights against the original seller where applicable.
